Bootcamp with Windows 10 on non-EFI iMacs didn't play nicely and Win10 killed itself twice after an automatic software update.

By no means study level, obviously, but still jets I could easily find and fly around when I wanted to replicate a real-world flight plan.Īpart from the models mentioned above, does anyone know of good freeware aircraft for XP11 and if there is a place to download soundsets and panels like you could for FSX? Also, is it backwards compatible with XP10 aircraft?ĮDIT: I should mention, I'm coming from Bootcamp back to all Mac. From A320 to A380, from B737 to B787, and with freeware soundsets and panels for each.

In FSX, I had a hangar full of Project Airbus and Project Opensky/SSP/TDS models for free. I will probably shell out for the FF A320 as I could see that being a plane I fly all the time. The application lies within Games, more precisely Simulation. The most recent installer that can be downloaded is 19.8 MB in size. This Mac download was scanned by our antivirus and was rated as malware free.

And I know Aerobridge is doing a 757 and 777 freeware for XP11 (though the news on those is intermittent). Download X-Plane 11.55 for Mac from our software library for free. I have Zibo's 737-800 and plan on downloading the 737 Ultimate when it's released. Even WT3 on Mac requires not using sound due to an XP11 issue.ĭoes anyone have any suggestions or has anyone heard about what they're doing for a new default ATC system? Also, how is the WT3-bundled ATC? Most unfortunately, Pilot2ATC is not available on Mac, either, which sucks because I know they're trying to make WT3 and P2ATC work hand-in-hand. There are some flaws with it (SID/STAR broken, no awareness of terrain, no taxi instructions, etc.) but it's the best I've got. Can someone clarify that to get airports with proper parking positions (like AFCAD files in MSFS), you have to manually go through and assign all the spaces yourself in WT3?ĪTC is my other issue here. I've heard it takes a while to set up but that it's well worth it. I know WT3 is the main AI traffic addon for XP11 right now, and I intend on downloading the trial. And I loved having UT2/SkyAI traffic in the sim world as well. FSX's default ATC, though by no means perfect, was enough to get you from point A to point B with some semblance of intelligence.
I'm looking for some advice on some specific experiences that I miss in FSX that I'm hoping to have in X-Plane 11, with the added hindrance of not finding Mac-compatible versions of some addons I've looked at. I'm an actual student pilot, so the simming is casual and just to get the virtual jetliner experience when time allows. The inherent stability of the sim alone makes me happy. I recently made the switch and I'm very happy with X-Plane 11, after using MSFS since FS98.
